Trend weight and an arrival date
Set a goal weight and see roughly when you’ll get there at your current pace. Weights from a smart scale can be imported from Health, one per day.
CalLog is a calorie tracker built around Japanese food — home cooking, convenience stores and eating out. Snap it or pick it, and Karo-chan cheers on your streak every single day.
First log of the day! Here we go
Why it lasts
The number one reason people stop logging? The day they overeat, they don’t want to open the app. But that’s exactly the day the log matters most.
So Karo-chan reacts to the fact that you logged, not to how much you ate. Acknowledgement, not judgement — that’s her whole job.
A day with Karo-chan
Scroll through one day. Every line Karo-chan says here is shown in the app — translated from the original Japanese.
Morning! Let’s make today a good one
Plenty left7:48Breakfast
Foods you log often pop up as suggestions the moment you start typing. Pick one and the calories and protein fill themselves in.
First log of the day! Here we go
12:31Lunch
CalLog splits it into items and works out calories and macros for each. You can adjust the numbers afterwards.
That’s two today. You’re keeping it up!
15:20Snack
The ring moves from green to yellow to orange. Honest numbers, gentle words.
You logged it — well done!
20:06Dinner
In most apps, this is where the red numbers and warnings come out. Karo-chan isn’t looking at the amount — she’s looking at the fact that you still logged today.
Logging the days you go over is what makes it stick
3days later
No broken-streak guilt trip. She’s just glad you came back.
Welcome back! Don’t worry about the days you missed
Your plan
During setup, CalLog builds “your plan”. Try it here first — the maths is exactly the same as in the app.
How it’s calculated: basal metabolic rate from the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, multiplied by an activity factor for your estimated daily burn, minus your chosen pace assuming 1 kg of body fat ≈ 7,200 kcal (minimum 1,200 kcal). Protein is body weight × 1.0 g, fat 25%, carbohydrate the remainder. These are estimates and do not replace medical advice. Nothing you enter leaves this page.
Six ways to log
Barcode when you’re in a hurry, quick entry when you forgot to take a photo. Having a choice is what makes it stick.

Well done!
Nice logging!
Let’s do this together
Good work today
Friends v1.11
Send an invite link and you’re connected. You can see whether each other has logged today and how long your streaks are — and send Karo-chan cheer stamps back and forth.

Know your body
Body weight swings by around a kilo a day with water and food. CalLog smooths that into a “trend weight” with a weekly pace, and tells you roughly when you’ll reach your goal.
At this pace, around Dec 13
you’ll reach 53.0 kg

Set a goal weight and see roughly when you’ll get there at your current pace. Weights from a smart scale can be imported from Health, one per day.

A formula gives you the average for your build. CalLog works backwards from your own food and weight logs to estimate what your body really uses each day. A provisional estimate is shown free from day one.

As you lose weight, your body burns a little less. CalLog suggests a weekly adjustment to keep your target in step.
